A fine set of Eduard Charton's famous weekly magazine dedicated to travel and exploration. He described in detail most of the great expeditions which marked the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth century, the last great period of exploration by Western travelers, including the discovery of the source of the Nile in the early 1860s to the conquest of the South Pole by the end of 1911.
