First apperance of an importent paper in dynamical psychology. ""He (Charcot) believed that hypnosis always passes through three stages - from lethargy to catalepsy to somnambulism. He found that the symptoms of these stages closely resemble the symptoms of hysteria... he described the symptoms of both states - hysteria and hypnosis - in standard medical terms as modifications in muscular states, reflex movements and sensory responses. It was in such form that he related to the Academie des Sciences on february 13, 1882 (the paper offered), the Académie which had thrice rejected mesmerism, and Charcot won a complete acceptance tor these medical findings...""(Boring ""A History of Experimentaæl Psycology"", p.698).Also with another importent paper: MARCEL DEPREZ ""Sur la transport électrique de la force aux grandes distances"" and ""Des actions électriques dans les systèmes conducteurs semblables"".
