Scarce firxst edition of Petrus Victorius's edition of Cato's and Varro's famous De Re Rustica. The works relates primarely to agriculture but gives also glimpses of customs and technological factors known to the ancient. The works also deals with development of vine, olive, fruit-growing and grazing. - Adams C 1125.

Mense Februario Anno M.D.XXXIII ''. Bound in old blindtooled calf, skilfully rebacked , upper board with some leather restorations, lower board nearly intact. Margin of first fly leaf with some paper restoration , title page with a few old unobtusive stains . The only mark of provenance is a number in ink on the first paste down ; '' 174 ''. Fine copy of this rare edition, with a crisp , near stainless interior in a finely restored - most probabably - first binding.."
