‎Jean-Baptiste Chevrier était notamment le fondateur de la Société Littéraire Les Loups à laquelle participèrent notamment Jehan Rictus, Gaston Couté, Steinlen, Verhaeren, Willette, etc. Il était membre de l'Action française. Il repose au Père Lachaise en face de Colette. ‎
