Amstelredam ( Amsterdam ), Cornelis Dankertss van Seevenhoven woonende inde kalckton byde Reguliers tooren, 1631, in-folio, 370 x 245 mm, engraved title + 25 pp +(1)(bl) + 44 engraved plates (of which 5 folding). Bound in old vellum. Binding a bit soiled, title page and one folding plate mounted, several plates have their versos re-inforced with a marginal strip of blank paper, some plates and text leaves have a clear old waterstain at the outer margin, Plate 1 , 2, 11 and 12 represent chuch towers and should have a small engraving of the spire tipped on to the plate. This is only so for plate 1. For the other three plates this spire is missing. Inner joint is cracked. Notwithstanding these defects still a very reasonable copy of an exceptionally rare book. First edition of this Dutch book on the architecture of Hendrick de Keyzer (1565 - 1621 ). the text was written by Salomon de Bray. He signed his text in printed italic at page 25 but is not mentioned on the title page. 14 plates deal with the most important work by de Keyser, the Westerkerk in Amsterdam.
