Richly illustrated with 102 wood engravings in the text and 81 tinted lithographed figures on plates, many illustrations depicting microscopic pathology of the spinal cord.‎

‎ Garrison & Morton 4565 (the original edition of 1882). "... Bramwell was an expert diagnostician and a clinical teacher of great skill... The present work became a textbook of great repute and was widely used during his days..." (Heirs of Hippocrates 2102). -- (Partly slightly foxed).‎
