Carton avec couverture en papier argenté avec un carré central jaune représentant deux garçons, l'un habillé en marin portant une banderole sur laquelle on peut lire "hurrah ! For Prince George" et l'autre un garçon noir avec un fusil. Très bon état, avec juste un peu de frottement à la reliure et à la couverture argentée. L'intérieur est propre et bien rangé, un très bel exemplaire. 60 +2 pages. (les deux dernières étant des critiques de l'éditeur pour le travail de Botto). Le contenu est le suivant : Les trois tamis ; Le plaisir de compliquer la vie ; Les trois bracelets du roi Salomon ; Chanticleer et le renard ; Silly John ; Lazy-Bones ; Le rêve d'un artiste ; Le lion et l'âne, une nouvelle. ‎First Edition. yellow cloth spine. Boards with silver paper cover with yellow central square with two boys, one dressed as a sailor carrying a banner reading "hurrah! For Prince George" and the other a black boy with a rifle. Very good condition, with just a little rubbing to the binding and silver cover. Internally clean and tidy throughout, a very nice copy. 60 +2 pages. (the last two being publisher's reviews for Botto's work). Contents are: The three sieves; The pleasure of complicating life; King Solomon's three bracelets; Chanticleer and the fox; Silly John; Lazy-Bones; An artist's dream; The lion and the donkey, a short story.
