First monograph on Péquignot (Baume-les-Dames 1765 - Naples 1807) who started painting in Besançon, and probably owed his taste for classically-inspired landscape painting to Joseph Vernet. He studied in Rome and befriended Anne-Louis Girodet who had also been one of Jacques-Louis David's pupils. In 1793 Péquignot fled to Naples where he settled permanently. Text in French.‎
