"14. S.l. s.d. ( Stockholm, ca. 1890), in-folio, oblong, 33,5 x 47 cm, album with original photographs, mounted on stiff boards, large gilt title on front cover, album tied with red silk ribbon. Large fine photography album presented to ''Karl and Helene (?) '' with 18 leaves containing 14 large photographs and 4 smaller photographs (three leaves remained empty). The album opens with a view of the painter, holding his palet, in his studio. On the easel ; a two masted ship under sail , with a smoking funnel - this painting returns on one of the following pages. Most of the paintings depicted are marine paintings or coastal landscapes. One painting depicts two giant Egyptian pharao statues. The last three paintings depict opulent house interiors . Based on his studio picture we estimate the photographs to be taken around 1890, the painter being then 60 years old. Probably unique document."
