‎Loweel, Ayer, 1898. 32 pp. Small 8vo (12,5 x 19,5 cm.). Original printed wrappers. With numerous illustrations.‎

‎Ayer's Sarsaparilla, Cherry Pectoral and his other nostrums. The first issue of this almanac was published in 1847, the last in 1911. The patent medicine almanac was a sort of informal textbook for educating the American people. No other printed sources, except the Bible, were issued in such large editions. See Young, Toadstool Millionaires p. 138-140.‎
