Themes addressed include state control of the industry and the location, history employment and workshop practises of both state and independent foundries. Also discusses the commissioning and production of steeple bells, functional large bronzes, large statues such as the funerary monument of Tommaso Rangone, and smaller bronze sculptures and artefacts encompassing both unique commissions and mass-produced objects.
