First edition, the very rare edition with 6 plates and the announcement leaf. With minor corrections penned in the text, done probably by the publisher, as other copies have the same alterations ( on page 9 Hed'r'engen, 31 Isere and 41 Rüffer). On title the following indication in pencil, the name of the author ‘by H. M. Atkins’, and ‘Lith. plates from drawings of J. M. Macgregor (he) also was a member of the expedition’.
