Bel album souvenir, recueillant de nombreux journaux et magazines de l'époque, et provenant de la bibliothèque d'Ernesta Stern (1854-1926) alias "Maria Star", écrivain fameuse pour son salon du Faubourg Saint-Honoré où elle accueillit notamment Marinetti ou Marcel Proust. Née Maria Ernesta Hierschel de Minerbi, elle épousa le banquier Louis Stern. Beautiful souvenir album, collecting many newspapers and magazines of the time, and coming from the library of Ernesta Stern (1854-1926) alias "Maria Star", famous writer for her salon in Faubourg Saint-Honoré where she notably welcomed Marinetti or Marcel Proust. Born Maria Ernesta Hierschel de Minerbi, she married the banker Louis Stern.

".: Antwerpen, Haantjeslei, 20 Augustus 1946, album samengesteld ter gelegenheid van een huwelijk. Bevat de kennisgeving, het feestmenu en 123 felicitatietelegrammen. Gebonden in imitatielederen band, goud op snee. Documentatie album van een huwelijksviering in een gegoed Antwerps burgersmilieu direct na het einde van de 2e Wereldoorlog. Mooi voorbeeld van de in 1946 in zwang zijnde communicatiewijze. De jonge echtelieden en hun ouders ontvingen op één dag 123 feesttelegrammen. Deze telegrammen , een speciale service van de R.T.T. ( Regie van Telegraaf en Telefoon ), de monopolie telefoonmaatschappij van de Belgische Staat , werden soms manueel ingevuld, soms met een tickerstrook, of afgedrukt door het telegraafapparaat op voorgedrukte kunstzinnige kleurdrukformulieren; naar ontwerpen van e.g. Henri Cassiers, Am. Lynen, A. Pinot....."
