Contemporary half calf, spine with 5 raised bands, in compartments richly gilt tooled, gilt lettered on red morocco label, red washed edges. With some scattered woodcut headers, footers and initials.‎

‎ Lindeboom, 546. Last edition of this work published with Boerhaave's preface. "Charles Lepois, son of Nic. Lepois, was physician to Charles III of Lotharingue and Henry II of France.In his book he advances the theory that the "serosa colluvies", often found in sections, is an important aetiologic factor in disease" (Lindeboom, 541).-- (A good clean copy with only some scattered light damp staining in the upper margin; sides of binding witch some scattered light staining; top and bottom of spine partly slightly damaged; corners slightly bumped).‎
