Contemporary half green grained morocco; spine with 5 raised bands, gilt lettered, in compartments gilt decorated with floral motive; hand made marbled boards and marbled end-papers; top edges gilt; original printed wrapper bound in; preserved in a matching slipcase. With a coloured frontispice and one coloured plate (in chromolithography), and 100 fine plates in helio-engraving. Title printed in red and black.

Henry Martin's last work. A superb, and finely bound large paper copy, being one of the 25 copies printed on "papier d'Arches la cuve". There are only a few copies with the second coloured plate. Including a bibliography of Henry Martin's publications. A very fine faultless 'de luxe' copy.
