The great astronomer, Eddington, "was the first intreperter of Einstein's relativity theory in English (1918), and made his own contributions to its development; Einstein considered Eddington's 'Mathematical Theory of Relativity" (1923) the finest presentation of the subject in any language..." (DSB concise ed. p. 220). Loosely inserted is the publisher's flyer for the series "Les Matres de la Pense Scientifique".
