Pierre Laprade (Narbonne 1875 - 1931 Fontenay aux Roses), fréquente l'atelier de Bourdelle et l'école des Beaux-Arts. Il participa au Salon des Indépendants (1901), exposa au Salon d'automne (1905), à la Libre Esthétique (Bruxelles 1907), à New-York et Chicago mais aussi chez Ambroise Vollard et chez Berthe Weill. Membre fondateur du Salon des Tuileries il y exposera jusqu'en 1930. Pierre Laprade nous offre une vue plongeante sur Florence et les bords de l'Arno. Petite tache sous le dessin n'atteignant pas l'oeuvre. Accidents au cadre.Mention au dos du cadre "Ancienne collection Valloton".

LE STORIE DELLA CITTA' DI FIRENZE.
nella Stamperia di Bartolommeo Sermartelli, Firenze, 1584. In-8 p. (mm. 217x154), p. pergamena coeva (risg. rifatti), tit. ms. al dorso, pp. (16),390,(18), stemma del Cardinale Alessandro Medici, arcivescovo di Firenze, stampato in rosso e nero al frontespizio; ornato da alcune belle iniziali figurate, inc. su legno. "Seconda edizione" (la prima è del 1582, Lione) dove si contiene ciò che dall'anno 1494, fino all'anno 1531, è successo. Con la Tavola delle cose notabili e co' Sommari a ciascun libro. Edizione arricchita della Regola et instruzione da tenersi nel leggere l'istorie ordinatamente. Il fiorentino Jacopo Nardi (1476-1563) compose le sue Istorie' che abbracciano le vicende esterne ed interne di Firenze dalla discesa di Carlo VIII (1494) all'avvento di Alessandro de Medici (1531) designato Duca di Firenze. Quella del Nardi è l'ultima voce che si levi a difesa della libertà, caduta definitivamente con l'instaurazione del principato mediceo.Cfr. Moreni,II,109. Qualche alone margin. e lievi fiorit. ma certamente un buon esemplare, con antiche annotazioni a penna alla prima e ultima carta bianca.

Musicale Italiana) 1992 Complete facsimile edition in full-size and full-colour reproduction of the complete original manuscript, publisher's hardcover binding (29x41cm., facsimile of the original binding) with small defect on front board and on lower end of front joint, together with a text volume (290pp. containing studies and commentaries) printed on handcrafted paper and bound in Fabriano paper, Limited edition of 998 numbered copies only ; this is nr. 528/998, protected by a publisher's box (46x32cm., cloth boards with gilt stamping, spine in leather), good condition, interior and texts in very good condition, rare, weight: 12kg., [This 'Squarcialupi Codex' is most probably the finest produced and most refined facsimile of a music manuscript ever. The codex contains an anthology of Italian music compiled in Florence (Firenze) during the first twenty years of the 15th century, with over 300 songs from the 14th till early 15th cy. by famous composers such as Francesco Landini, Andrea dei Servi, Gherardello da Firenze, Donato da Firenze, Niccolo da Perugia, and others. Its name is derived from the previous owner's name Antonio Squarcialupi, Florentine organist 1417-1480, attested by an inscription on the opening leaf. Later on it passed to Giuliano de Medici, then it passed to the Palatine Library and at the end of the 18th cy. it went to the Laurentian Library where it is kept up till present. The magnificent miniatures and illuminations in colour and gold - reproduced in the facsimile as well - were produced in the Florentine scriptorium of Santa Maria degli Angeli around 1410-'15.
