1907 Two volumes (text & atlas - complete). 1141, [2], [7] p., 203 coloured (chromolithographed) plates, royal 4to, recent brown half calf, spine with five raised and authors and title in gilt in compartments. Marbled endpapers. Original front covers of text and atlas volumes bound in. Right blank margin of title-page and first six pages reinforced with transparent paper repair-tape. Small chip out of right (blank) margin of last plate. Very good and nicely bound copy of this much sought after volume. This is one of the largest volumes both in number of pages and plates from this series.

Very good and nicely bound copy. This volume of the French edition was never completed (all published), the German edition has 912 pages and 104 plates. So in the French edition the text remained incomplete, but all the plates were published.
