Di questa rivista mensile inglese illustrata, di pp. 64 cad. fascicolo, offriamo una annata completa di 12 mensilità, dal novembre 1913 all'ottobre 1914. Manca il primo foglio del mese di luglio 1914 (pp. 513/514). Pregevole raccolta del Boy's Own Paper (B.O.P.), riivista creata per giovani ragazzi, pubblicata dal 1879 fino al 1967. Contiene adventure stories and stories about public school life, notes on how to practice nature study, sports and games, puzzles and essay competitions. Health and fitness was prominent as indeed was sport especially football (as rugby was known then) and cricket.The paper was published weekly following the school year (Autumn through to Summer) until November 1913, when it became a monthly. From 1879 onwards each year's issues were bound together and sold as the Boy's Own Annual'. Many prominent authors and personalities contributed to the paper. W.G. Grace wrote for several issues, as did Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Jules Verne and R.M. Ballantyne. Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout Movement, was a regular columnist and urged readers "to live clean, manly and Christian lives". Less well-known writers included E. E. Bradford, W. E. Cule, Sid G. Hedges, William Gordon Stables and Hugh Pembroke Vowles.Solo le tavv. un po' sciupate (1 restaur. con scotch per strappo), altrimenti esemplare ben conservato.
