The Palazzo degli Uffizi, or Uffizi for short, is a palazzo or city palace in the Italian city of Florence. Originally the office or administration building of the Florentine magistrate family De' Medici, the palace houses one of the oldest and most important art museums in the world: the Uffizi Gallery.
