Complete issue , as published. Text in German, but also some articles or literary contributions in English or French. Condition: fine, with only a small marginal discoloration of the front wrapper, and top of spine very slightly damaged. Contains e.g. an article by Carl Sternheim - '' Mein Theaterwinter''. Blaise Cendrars '' La Création du Monde '' ( article in French). Darius Milhaud '' Jazzband und Negermusik''. Gedichte von Achmatova, Majakowski... Founded by Wilhelm Graf Kielmansegg, edited by Alfred Flechtheim, Herman von Wedderkop, Viktor Wittner a.o. '' Der Querschnitt'' was the most sophisticated of the general-cultural, literary and artistic monthlies published in Germany during the Interbellum. Till 1933 it was the platform for left-intellectual and avant-garde orientated artists and writers, with a very international character. The graphic aspect of the periodical was also very important with in each issue photo reproduction of major photographs, and also graphic contributions by George Grosz , Frans Masereel , Picasso, Jean Cocteau.
