‎Summary Perse, auteur satirique latin du Ier siècle ap. J-C., eut la faveur des lecteurs à partir des premières phases de sa réception et durant la période humaniste, en raison de son style original et exigeant et de la moralité de sa poésie. En 1481 le commentaire des Satires de Perse par Giovanni Britannico, humaniste et imprimeur italien du XVe siècle, venait d'être publié dans la ville de Brescia. Britannico fit deux révisions en 1486 et en 1500, ce qui lui permit de proposer un regard global sur l'exégèse de Perse faite à partir des années Quatre-vingts du Quattrocento, grâce à son dialogue avec la production de ses collègues (Politien, Fonzio, Merula, Barbaro etc). Le commentaire jouit d'une énorme diffusion au Nord des Alpes durant le XVIe siècle, en particulier dans la région du Rhin, en influençant les études postérieures sur Perse. L'édition critique du commentaire, accompagnée d'une introduction importante, augmente nos connaissances sur l'Humanisme italien et sa grande influence, en fournissant des éléments nouveaux sur la réception du genre littéraire de la satire romaine en Italie et au-delà. Persio, autore satirico latino del I secolo d.C., ebbe una grossa fortuna fin dalle prime fasi della sua ricezione e soprattutto nel periodo umanistico, grazie all'originalità e alla raffinatezza del suo stile, nonché alla forte impronta morale della sua poesia. Nel 1481, nella città di Brescia, fu pubblicato il commento alle Satire di Persio redatto da Giovanni Britannico, umanista e tipografo italiano del XV secolo. Britannico realizzò due revisioni del suo lavoro, nel 1486 e nel 1500, riuscendo così a offrire una visione d'insieme sull'esegesi persiana sviluppatasi a partire dagli anni Ottanta del Quattrocento, anche attraverso il confronto con la produzione dei suoi contemporanei (Poliziano, Fonzio, Merula, Barbaro, ecc.). Il commento conobbe un'ampia diffusione al di là delle Alpi nel corso del XVI secolo, in particolare nella regione renana, esercitando una notevole influenza sugli studi successivi su Persio. L'edizione critica di questo commento, accompagnata da un'approfondita introduzione, contribuisce ad ampliare le nostre conoscenze sull'Umanesimo italiano e sulla sua influenza in Europa, offrendo nuovi elementi per comprendere la ricezione del genere della satira romana sia in Italia che in ambito europeo. ‎Summary The Italian Renaissance has been studied above all as a cultural phenomenon related to the 15th-century rediscovery of ancient philosophy, literature, and art.
