1736 [10], 711 p., contemporary full calf, spine with five raised bands and richly gilt compartments. Pages browned or foxed. Some wear on corners and lower end spine, but a nice and firm binding. The portrait is missing. Volume one (of two).Sydenham is one of the greatest figures in internal medicine, and has been called the Father of English Medicine.
