In this work Oudemans puts forth the proposition that Thysanura and Collembola belong to an order different from the Orthoptera. He also suggests that in the cell the "nucleine (chromatine)" is the carrier of heriditary information, and that conodonts are the teeth of annelids. Library stamps in the lower margin of half title, title page blank verso and first text page. Spine taped. Otherwise a very good copy with clean plates. Scarce.
