The delicate engravings in W. Watts most famous work, offer a most important record of English stately homes and the late eighteenth century gardens that surrounded them. The engravings were executed by Watts after his own designs, as well as those of Indigo Jones, W. Tomkins, R. Wilson, G. Barret, C. Metz, W. Hodges and many others. Contemporary full green morocco binding with roulette on the boards, red morocco title piece on the gilt back and floral ornaments; slightly rubbed and bumped on corners.
