‎Published by W. Watts, Chelsea, 1779 [-1786]. Oblong 4to, 170 pp., engraved calligraphic title-plate and 84 plates, each one followed by a leaf with descriptive text. A beautiful collection of picturesque views engraved by William Watts "From Drawings by the most Eminent Artists", showing the stunning country houses of the British nobility and gentry. Contemporary full green morocco binding with roulette on the boards, red morocco title piece on the gilt back and floral ornaments; slightly rubbed and bumped on corners. Marbled endpapers, with engraved ex-libris label of the Count Leo Thun-Hohenstein, actual ruler of Bohemia in 1848. Scattered spotting and foxing inside, otherwise clean and tight. Bryan V, 347.
