Namenszug "Dr. Carl Kottmann" auf dem Vorsatz. Vorsätze angestaubt und leimschattig. Einband berieben und bestossen.

Some quires of text browned in vol. 1 and 2., 2 plates strenghtened in outher margin. Some offsettings to plates. A calligraphed title has been made to the platevolume, but there was never issued a separate title to the plates as they were supposed to be bound with the text.
Scarce first edition of this beautifully illustrated pharmacological botanical work. F. Guibel (1744-1839) was an industrious member of the Berlin school who was put on the map as a botanical illustrator by K.L.
