Collection of German authors. Vol. 34 - 36. First English edtion. Fritz Reuter (1810 - 1874), German novellist. Most of his writings are written in the Plattdeutsch dialect. "Ut mine Stromtid is by far the greatest of Reuter's writings. The men and women he describes are the man and women he knew in the villages and farmhouses of Mecklenburg, and the circumstances in which he places them are the circumstances by which they were surrounded in actuel life" (ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA, 11 ed., XXIII). A nice copy of this uncommon book.
