A very rare collection of lithogr. plates published in the era shortly after Senefelder’s handbook on lithography was published (1818). A splendid early exemple of fine Swiss (and Mont-Blanc) views in the lithographic technique. / Vollständiges Exemplar des sehr seltenen Ansichtenwerkes aus der Frühzeit der Lithographie. Constant Florent Fidèle Bourgeois (1767-1841) war ein französischer Landschaftsmaler, während langen Jahren war er - bemerkenswerterweise als Landschafter - Schüler des grossen Jacques-Louis David! Er lebte lange in Italien. Seine lithographierten Ansichten sind speziell wertvoll. Die sehr breiten Ränder weiss und fast ohne Stockflecken. Vereinzelt schwache Feuchtigkeitsspuren im unterem Rand.
