Book deals with the travels and observations of Sir Richard Hawkins in the late 16th century. Seal of the Brazilian physician, scientist, politician and chronicler, Artur Hehl Neiva, former owner of this copy, on page XIX of the introduction and on page 17 of the text.

A well preserved copy. Pages slightly yellowed. A few insect holes in the initial pages, always outside the text. Solitary hole in the lower margin follows and page 52 of the introduction. Editorial binding in good condition but with some dirt from time and some insect holes. Stamp of the (Brazilian) Cândido Mendes Colleges dated 1972 pp. 24-25.
