In Yiddish. Short description: Shalom Aleichem. The Enchanted Tailor. Moscow, 1947. Sholom Aleichem (real name Solomon Naumovich Rabinovich, 18591916) was a Jewish writer and playwright, one of the founders of modern Yiddish fiction, including children's literature. The tailor Shimen-Ele lived for himself in Zlodeevka and did not know grief until his wife, Tsipe-Beile-Reyza, God bless her, decided to get a goat. And she sent her husband to Kozodoevka to melamed Khaim-Khona Razumnik, whose wife Temi-Gitl the Silencer had two goats, with a proposal to sell one of them.
