They contain studies by the Flemish art historian Mark Edo Tralbaut, who published extensively on Vincent van Gogh, and whose archives remain now in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The publications deal with Van Gogh and/or his contemporaries and/or the reception of his paintings.

Bien que le faux-titre précise ""Tome 1"" , il n'existe pas d'autre volume à la Bibliothèque Nationale qui par aileurs précise dans sa notice que ""Par suite de dispositions testamentaires, les lettres de Joris-Karl Huysmans et de Maurice Barrès n'ont pu être publiées"". Papier jauni mais solide. Bel exemplaire."
