Rome, Collège de la Société de Jésus, 1583. 1 vol. petit in-8°, veau fauve, dos à nerfs orné de petits fleurons dorés, encadrement d'un filet doré sur les plats, couronne d'olivier dorée au centre avec les initiales C.R. dorées dans l'évidement central. Reliure de l'époque usée, une coiffe arrachée, mors sup. fendu, coins émoussés. Cachet bleu d'une bibliothèque jésuite sur le frontispice. Titre-frontispice gravé en taille-douce, 309 pp., (2) pp., (34) ff. d'index. Signatures : [A-T]8 V4 [*-***]8 ****10. Quelques mouillures marginales.
Quatrième édition des constitutions de la société de Jésus dont Ignace de Loyola avait publié la première en 1558. Celle-ci fut imprimée sur ordre de la quatrième congrégation. Il existe deux tirages à la même date. Celui-ci est le plus complet et comprend à la suite, les Declamationes. Sommervogel V, 77.
