1905 - 1912, 4 issues per year, in-folio, 53 x 29 cm, continuous pagination per year (ca. 200 pp/year), with ca. 40 photo plates, printed on high quality paper. Available is the complete set of 24 issues, loose as issued, in fine condition allthough some plates are marginally dustsoiled and with a few foxing spots. Kept in purposely made modern cloth boxes. Added is the extremely rare special issue published in 1908 on the occasion of the Toison d'Or ( Golden Fleece) exhibition ; '' Les Chefs-d'Oeuvre de L'art Flamand à L'Exposition de la Toison d'Or''. In-folio, 49 x 32 cm, 108 pp + 25 plates outside the text, publisher's half cloth, printed boards, some dustsoiling , endpapers browned but still a fine copy printed on high quality paper, copy printed for Monseigneur le Duc d'Arenberg ( one of the lenders to the exhibition). Lavishly printed and published art periodical which deals with the 14-16th century Flemish art; painting, miniature, tapestry, sculpture etc.. Contributors include; A.Germain, Van Bastelaer, Pirenne, J. Van den Gheyn, Van Puyvelde, Durand-Gréville, Sander Pierron, A.Goffin, Karel De Flou , Charles Gillès de Pelichy a.o. The periodical started in the aftermath of the epoch-making and controversial exhibition of Early Netherlandish painting in Bruges in 1902. The editor in chief was Camile Tulpinck, himself an artist and writer. He gained later notoriety for his concern in protecting art treasures from war devastation and participated at the Roerich convention ( Nikolaj Rjorich). Rare, not in the least because , in tune with the exhibition organisers, the whole concept of the publication was aimed at the highest classes of society ; kings, princes, high nobility etc. owners of the art treasures which were described and studied. The annual subscription was 55 francs for an ordinary copy and 100 francs for a deluxe copy. This compares with e.g. 10 francs for a yearly subscription to ''L'Illustration Européenne'' ; a good quality illustrated weekly."‎
