"12. Bruxelles, Paris, Leipzig, Decq, Renouard, Muquardt, Weigel, 1871, format in-4°, 32 x 22,5 cm, title page + 10 full page engravings ( loose leaves). The album consists of the following 10 engravings : Albrecht De Vriendt : de Penning der Weduwe (le denier de la veuve), d'après l'auteur ; Juliaan De Vriendt : de Oude van Eisenach (le vieillard d'Eisenach), d'après l'auteur ; Th. Gérard : l'heureuse famille, d'après l'auteur ; Jacquelart : souvenir des Ardennes ; W. Linnig, junior : les Zingaris ; Numans : paysage, d'après Böhm ; Numans : vue de Dordrecht ; W. Roelofs : la mare aux saules ; Schaefels : Anvers au XVIe siècle ; Verlat : Bertrand et Raton. The engravings are printed on stiff paper, most of them are signed in the plate. The title is a bit dustsoiled but the plates are in fine condition. Kept in a modern portfolio. This collection of engravings by 19th c. Belgian and Dutch artists is very rare ( only one entry in the OCLC catalogue - Oct. 2018) . It was never sold on the open market. It was exclusively published for the subscribers of the Brussels' art periodical ''Journal des Beaux-Arts ''.."
