Engraved titlepage and portrait engraved by (Duflas) bound in in volume I. Uniform contemporary full calf, raised back with gilt decorated compartments and two labels, marbled endpapers, edges painted red, . Bindings with minimal wear, three top turn ins damaged, no library stamps , 18th century engraved ex-libris tipped in on first paste down. Notwithstanding the minor defects mentioned a very attractive and impressive set in very well preserved uniform bindings and with crisps interiors, of one of the last and best editions of this monumental dictionary - encyclopedia.
