‎" Antwerpen, by the artist, 1927, paper size 38 x 25 ; plate size 26 x 17 cm, 9 linocuts, including the title plate ( French text - Légende d'Ulenspiegel ). The final book edition contained also two small vignettes (not included here). The large text initials have been heightened with red colour by the artist. No number on the title page. The book edition was printed in an edition of 110 copies ; of which 10 on Imperial Japan paper. Our set of proofs is also printed on Japan paper. (Bibliography: see Raskin pp. 131). The Raskin bibliography mentions apart from the 110 copies also socalled ''handimprints'' numbered 1-5 and 1-30. It is unclear if our set ought to be included in one of these handimprints. We tend to believe that this is not the case as our proofs are all clearly signed ''proefdruk''. Plates are loose and kept in a (probably provided by the artist) blind wrapper of Japan paper. Fine condition."‎
