‎HOE Robert Jr. ( editor ) :‎
‎The Print Collector. An introduction to the knowledge necessary for forming a collection of ancient prints by J. Maberly....edited with notes , an account of Contemporary Etching and Etchers....‎

‎ New York, Dodd, Mead & Company, 1880, large in-8°, 23,5 x 17 cm, viii pp + 309 pp + (30) nn pp (bibliography), with photengraving frontisp. and several full page photoengravings. Bound in the publisher's decorated cloth (gilt Dürer print on front-cover). Some faint foxing of the serpente at the title page, with some off-setting, but a nearly mint copy, with unopened pages. Very fresh gilt decoration. (Well kept copy from a 19th bookseller's stock - never sold). Very interesting witness of the 19th c. fin-de-siècle interest in engraving, etching and print collecting. An exceptionnal copy of the 1880 edition.‎
