The original surname made illegible and replaced by Cornelio. The colophon on leaf 136 recto reads : ''Finis, 1613 julio 22.. x fine xxxx (coronato ?) nobilitate opus''. Title page with some loss of paper at the upper margin (no loss of text, due to ink corrosion). Modern label in upper right hand corner, with the circular stamp of the Carmelites at Ypres. Title page soiled and damaged (as described) but on the whole a good and complete copy. This edition is a repint of earlier Plantin editions (see Imhof C-38 & C-39); and 1609 (USTC 1506507). This 1613 edition not recorded in USTC. Interesting manuscript written, as dictated by A Lapide, who was professing in Louvain University in 1613. After teaching this very course he left the Netherlands for Rome were he arrived at the end of the year 1613.."
