Collection of three neo-latin texts by Michel de L'Hospital written on the occasion of the marriage between the French crown prince François II with Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots. (in the Notre Dame, 24th april 1558). This is the second edition, (privilegium 11th march 1559 on pp. A(i) recto) printed just before François II ,unexpectedly , became king (10th july 1559). The third imprint regards cardinal Claude de Lorraine, his sister had married James Ist of Scotland. She was the mother of Mary Stuart. USTC ( n°198412) lists only 2 copies of the second edition of the text on the marriage . No collation is given , so it is uncertain if the two other texts are included here. We found one reference of this edition with the three texts: Item 476 from the collection Marie Stuart given by Susan Dwight Bliss tot the B.N.Paris ( 1930). (See Jules Meynial; Collection de Manuscrits, Livres...relatifs à Marie Stuart. Paris 1931, 2 vols.). The title page is illustrated on plate 29.
