Collection of 24 photographs of the abbey of Orval. Postcard format, kept in 3 original paper portfolios.
2. Bruxelles, s.d. ( 1937), postcards printed by H.Wellens - W. Godenne. The postcards have printed captions on the verso side and are numbered ( 1-24). They are kept in three purposely made simple paper portfolios with printed lettering. Everything in fine condition. W. Kessels made this photographic report on the abbey of Orval and its monks in 1935. This set of 3 portfolios with a total of 24 cards by Belgium's first Modernist photographer is very rare.
