"2. Paris, printed by E.Briere, 1867, ( published most probably by J.E.Loubat ), in-8°, 23 pp, sewn, original printed wrapper ( wrapper a bit dustsoiled, some paper loss at the last blank leaf, but still a good copy. Mr. J.F. Loubat was appointed commissioner to the Paris World Exhibtion of 1867 by the American Secretary of State William Seward. (1801-1872). This was obviously not appreciated by John Bigelow (1817-1911) American ambassador in Paris. There developped a ''diplomatic'' row which ended with a formal complaint by J.Loubat at the American Congress. This second edition , which contains the complaint by Loubat ( not present in the original edition) is quite rare.(;american;diplomacy;19thc.;paris;world;exhibition;1867)."
