‎"2. Melsele ( ), 1941, 5 engravings, 130 x 86 mm, some signed in pencil by the artist, the original design, a letter, two postcards , all items mounted on thin boards. The engraving represents a rather apocalyptic view of Brussels where Saint-Michael with the aid of the dragon attacks a host of (German) tanks. A rather risky subject in the middle of the Second World War. This is perhaps also the reason why the name J.Grosfils- and ''ex-libris'' don't figure in the design. These items are from the collection of Jules Gosfils. Jules Grosfils was the animator of two important organisations which promoted Belgian graphic art during the Interbellum. The ''ABDCE'' Association Belge des Collectionneurs et Dessinateurs d' Ex-Libris; and The ''G.O.B.'' La Gravure Belge Originale. On his ex-libris see an article of Dr. Alfred Comtesse in ''Bulletin du collectionneur suisse: livres, ex-libris....Année 2 ( 1928) Issue 6.
