Complete issue , as published. Text in German, but also some articles or literary contributions in English or French. Condition: small loss of paper at corner of frontwrapper ( 4 cm²) , some pages slightly irregularly browned further fine. Contains e.g. contributions by A.C.Barnes '' Die Negerkunst und Amerika''. Karl Radek ''Brief an Max Barthel''. Juan Gris '' Über die Möglichkeiten der Malerei''. Ezra Pound '' Definitions''. Founded by Wilhelm Graf Kielmansegg, edited by Alfred Flechtheim, Herman von Wedderkop, Viktor Wittner a.o. '' Der Querschnitt'' was the most sophisticated of the general-cultural, literary and artistic monthlies published in Germany during the Interbellum. Till 1933 it was the platform for left-intellectual and avant-garde orientated artists and writers, with a very international character. The graphic aspect of the periodical was also very important with in each issue photo reproduction of major photographs, and also graphic contributions by George Grosz , Frans Masereel , Picasso, Jean Cocteau.
