Bruxelles, imprimerie de la societé des Beaux-Arts, 1840, in-8°, 21 x 14 cm, 394 pp + 2 nn pp (table) , with engraved portrait, a folding facsimile of a letter, and a folding plate of ceremonial gift weapon. Bound in contemporary half letter, slight foxing at some pages, especially at the title page, but overall still a good/fine copy of the first, original edition. The first attempt to make an oeuvre catalogue of the works of P.P.Rubens. (Freitag No. 8488).
