2. Bruxelles, Wouters et Cie, 1844, in-8°, 303 pp + large forlding map (35 x 38 cm). Sewn, orig. printed wrapper, (partly unsewn, spine damaged with loss of paper, wrapper a bit stained and loose). The engraved map in fine condition. The map, dated 1836 shows the eastern part of the US only. The most western town shown on the map is Fulton (Missouri). The map shows also the railroads (built and projected). Incomplete- only volume 2. The book is offered here because of the interesting map it contains..
