Edges painted red. Nice crisp interior. The six full page engravings represent members of the Austrian imperial family as they were depicted at the Brera College (Collegio Braidensis ) to celebrate the marriage of Maria Beatrice Ricciarda d' Este (1750 - 1829) with Ferdinand of Austria (1754 - 1806), which took place in Milan 15th October 1771. According notes on pp. 326 of '' Teatri di Formazione ; actio, parola e immagine nella scena gesuitica del Sei-Settecento a Milano'' author Giovanna Zanlonghi, published in 2002 (Vita e Pensiero) the first part of the publication - the oratio- was written by Calimero Cataneo and pronounced at the College on Jan. 29th 1772. The last part of the book - with the illustrations- '' Inscriptiones ac Tabulae...'' were written by Guido Ferrari. See also De Backer -Sommervogel Vol. II col. 890."
