Photo size 140 x 190 mm. Bound in green half leather publisher's binding, Gilt title on front cover. Extremities of the binding worn, especially top turn in which is damaged. Interior fine with the 34 original photographs in fine condition. With a small label of the photographer tipped on to the last paste down. '' Photos by W. Brooks & Son . 35 , Wood End Road , Erdington, Birmingham.''. The sharp pictures give an excellent view of the manufacturing process of the (1925 ?) Chevrolet sedan and pick-up truck ; starting in the main office, planning department, toolshop , the woodwork department...up till a row of new cars and trucks ready to be driven to General Motors distribution centre at Hendon. All work is done without an assembly line in sight . The pictures have printed captions. We estimate the date of publication at shortly after 1925. GM acquired Vauxhall in that year."
