Portfolio a bit dustsoiled but interior with plates very fine with only a few plates with some marginal dustsoiling or minor marginal foxing spots. This is a second part of Ongania's iconographical description of the San Marco Basilica dealing with the sculpture of the basilica. It comprises 12 instalments (numbered I -> XII), containing in all 188 plates. All the plates of the instalments are here. The complete publication, containing 425 photo engravings was the first serious iconographical study of the Basilica. It was also a milestone in Italy for the use of photo engraving as a mean to illustrate studies on architectural monuments. (See P.
