Gryphius excudebat, 1540, sm. in-8°, 11x8 cm, (640) nn pp, signatures a-z8, A-R8, rebound in modern half-leather with marbled boards, original bookblock retained with all the edges gilt. Old handwritten ex-libris on tile page (J. R. LaBorne, prestre), and calligraphic ex-libris at the back (Johannes Monssieur?), paper loss at lower margin of title page expertly restored (there was no loss of text, just touching the 4 and 0 of the printed date 1540). The (unidentified) Latin version of Psalms and its paraphrase are in parallel columns . A paraphrase of the speech of Salomon at the dedication of the temple, added at the end is preceded by the note; '' Ne aliquot pagellae vacarent, placuit Orationem Salomonis... annectere; lectori pio rem multo gratiorem fore rati, quam si nudas chartas obijcerus.According Baudrier this edition is a re-impression of the 1533 and 1537 editions.
